Intrabody Communication for Monitoring ICU Patient in Biomedical Field

This paper presents a communication system which uses human body as the medium and transfers the data without any cables. It is important in medical field at it sends data wirelessly and it is very accurate. The accuracy and speed of data transmission are significant in medical field as lives are dependent on the data being transferred from one place to another. This communication uses wearable device which is embedded with different sensors to measure vital parameters like heartbeat, temperature, blood pressure, ECG etc. This device has ARM7 as central processing unit and provides Intra body communication using insulating material. It is very secure system and provides data in real time as the device is always on the patient’s body. This proposed method is very robust and simple communication system using human body as transmission medium. This technology provides more security than other wireless technologies.
