Mass production, packaging and distribution of liquids can be effectively carried out with the help of the Totaliser-Batcher. The MICROCONTROLLER-BASED TOTALISER-BATCHER is an electronic instrument that can be used to fill predetermined quantity of a liquid into containers or bottles along with temperature and weight sensors. The Totaliser-Batcher can perform two main functions- ‘Totalisation’ and ‘Batching’. Totalising refers to counting the total volume of liquid that has passed through a particular line. A batch is a quantity or number of things coming at once and treated as a set. This instrument also checks the temperature of the liquid before filling it into the bottle or the container with the help of a temperature sensor .This feature proves especially useful in the pharmaceutical industry, where certain medicines may tend to react with changes in temperature. For better accuracy regarding the quantity of liquid that has been filled, a load cell weight sensor is used. The Totaliser-Batcher is a widely used instrument that finds applications in industries like the pharmaceutical industry, coca-cola industry, chemical industry, milk diaries, water distribution etc.
